Nikka & Mr. Bear

I was hiking early morning when I found this abandoned home that was being reclaimed by the tropical fauna. The warm morning light was perfectly positioned for a great shoot. I scouted the local town for the right talent and wardrobe and was able to create this image. The whole series revolves around the structure and an old long lost friend (Mr. Bear)

Great Heights

I have been battling the weather while here in the Philippines. There have been two overlapping typhoons passing over my current location of Lucban, Quezon. I had my model brave this bridge that hung over a tropical canyon, 1000 steps above the canyon floor. Luckily the rain stopped long enough to get the shoot done.

Philippine Native Gown

I am currently in the Philippines, documenting native fashion. This was taken during the Pahyas Festival in the city of Lucban , Quezon. The rules are the same as the Pasadena Rose Parade, but instead of floats, it is people's homes and clothing. A different route is chosen every year. The houses on the route are decorated with various vegetables that are farmed by the local community. They are also decorated with colorful leaf like decorations are made from rice called kiping. The gown in the picture, is called a "Native" because it only uses natural material such as bark, pedals, hemp-like tread, etc.

Web Site matching Adidas

I needed to replace the old neon Nike's, but came across these Adidas that were the same color palette as my web site. So, for the sake of branding I bought this pair and am very happy about them.

Pooneh's Portrait

This is a Portrait of Pooneh taken on the Mesa in Santa Barbara. The warm rich tones are not how I typically shoot (eg. the "passport" section on www.dimalanta.net ), but I felt that these tones best describe Pooneh's warm personality. Thank you , Amanda for the great make up and for working the bubble machine.
